Maintenance checklist line types are added to checklists to improve the quality of the data entered and to standardize how information is recorded and measured.
These line types allow you to capture structured values, automatically update counter readings during object installation or replacement, and record technician observations. This results in better data quality, more reliable work order processing, and accurate tracking of object installations and replacements across your organization.
Maintenance checklists support the following five checklist line types:
The maintenance checklist line Text input can be used in situations where for instance technicians want to write observations or answer questions. The text input line type is also included in work order reports.
You can use the maintenance checklist line type Date and time. This helps you to improve the quality of the data entered as this fields helps to prevent formatting errors.
The Installation object line in the maintenance checklist helps you to automatically install a specific object while processing the work order checklist.
In the Properties FastTab, you can choose whether the object will be installed as a child or sibling of the current object in the job.
In the example in the screenshot 01 below, you can see the checklist line Installation object where the object is installed as a child object in the job.
Note:
The line type Measurement - Installation object is a line added in addition to the line Installation object, where this is used to process the update of counter values on the related line Installation object.
The Measurement - Installation object checklist line can only exist after the line Installation object, that is the line number for Installation object will always be lower than the line number for the Measurement - Installation object line.
In screenshot 01 below, you can see an example of Measurement - Installation object maintenance checklist line associated with the object installation.
Limitation:
While the Measurement - Installation object lines display basically the same fields as measurement lines (counter type, min value, max value, unit etc.), currently they do not support using the following solutions with new checklist line type:
The maintenance checklist line type Measurement - Replacement object allows you to update counters for replacement objects from work order maintenance job lines. It's visible in the following maintenance checklist forms:
In the example in the screenshots below, you can see an example of two Measurement - Replacement object maintenance checklist lines associated with the object replacement (screenshot 01). When these checklist lines are filled in with the counter value, the counter values for the replacement objects are automatically updated on the object counter, as seen in screenshot 02.
