It's possible to change the functional location type for one or multiple existing functional locations at the same time.
Change the Functional location type by going to:
Enterprise Asset Management > Common > Functional locations > All functional locations.
- Select one or more functional locations where the type needs to be changed.
- In the top panel, go to Functional location > Maintain > Change type.
- In the New functional location type drop-down menu choose a new type.
- Click OK.
After clicking the OK button, the following is validated:
- The current stage is supported by the new functional location type.
- Parent functional location, if any, must allow the new functional location type as a sub-location.
- Sub-locations, if any, are supported by the new functional location type.
- Parent objects, if any, are valid with the new functional location type.
Information is shown when:
- Any specifications are added to the functional location.
- Any maintenance sequences are added to the functional location.
