Create Object Type Fault Combinations

You have the possibility to easily create fault combinations, as well as update fault combinations for all object types. When using the functionality 'Create fault combinations' all previous faults set up for an object type are deleted, and all possible fault symptoms, fault areas, and fault types are added.

Create fault combinations on all object types by going to:

  1. Enterprise asset management > Setup > Object > Fault > Fault designer.
    1. If you have not yet set up fault data on object types, refer to Microsoft documentation: Set up the fault designer and create a setup for one object type.
  2. Select the Create combinations button.
  3. In the Object type drop-down, select the object type from which you want to copy the fault combination setup.
  4. Select the Update all object types toggle button to show 'Yes'.
  5. Select OK. A message is then shown in the Action center when all object types have been updated.
  6. Repeat steps 1-5 to update other object types.

Filter Object Types without Setup

On the Fault designer form, you can filter all object types without fault combination setup to quickly get an overview of any new object types to be set up. See the screenshot below.
