Delete multiple work orders and work order lines automatically and view information in logs about deleted work orders and work order lines.
It's possible to delete multiple work orders automatically.
To start deleting work orders, go to Enterprise asset management > Periodic > Work orders > Delete work orders.
From here you can specify which work orders should be deleted automatically by providing e.g. work order numbers and/or work order stages. Service can be scheduled to run as a batch job and automatically deletes specified work orders e.g. every day. In the example below in screenshot 01, the 'Delete work orders' service will try to delete all work orders in the system which are in the 'Removal' or 'Removal2' stage. After clicking OK, the results are displayed as you can see in screenshot 02.
It's possible to delete work order lines. When deleting work order lines, work order headers remain unchanged.
You can delete work order lines automatically by going to Enterprise asset management > Periodic > Work orders > Delete work order lines. This service deletes all work order lines from the system that you mark for deletion by checking the 'To be deleted' checkbox, which can be seen in screenshot 01.
In the example in screenshot 01, the first and third line in the 'USMF-00000174' work order have been marked for deletion.
After opening the 'Delete work order lines' menu item, you can see the locked query range set up on the 'To be deleted' field. It's possible to add some filters on other work order lines fields by clicking the Filter button. Service can be scheduled to run as a batch job and automatically delete specified work order lines e.g. every day. After clicking OK, the results are displayed as you can see in screenshot 03.
You can view basic information about work orders deleted by the 'Delete work orders' service and work order lines deleted by the 'Delete work order lines' service in the 'Delete work order log' form.
The form can be accessed in Enterprise asset management > Inquiries > Work orders > Delete work order log. You can see an example of a 'Delete work order log' in screenshot 01 below.
