Maintenance checklist line types are added to checklists to improve the quality of the data entered and to standardize the data that is recorded and measured.
With these checklist lines, the application can update counter values automatically when replacing assets to streamline accurate tracking of asset intallation or replacements within your organization.
Specific checklist line types can be used for date and time to enhance data accuracy, or use the text input line type to allow technicians to e.g. write observations. Installation asset checklist line allows you to enable automatic installation of specific asset from maintenance checklist line in work order maintenance job.
The maintenance checklist line type 'Measurement - Replacement asset' allows you to update counters for replacement assets from work order maintenance job lines. It's visible in the following maintenance checklist forms:
In the example in the screenshots below, you can see an example of two measurement - replacement asset maintenance checklist lines associated with the asset replacement (screenshot 01). When these checklist lines are filled in with the counter value, the counter values for the replacement assets are automatically updated on the asset counter, as seen in screenshot 02.
You can use the maintenance checklist line type 'Date and time'. This helps you to improve the quality of the data entered as this fields helps to prevent formatting errors.
The maintenance checklist line 'Text input' can be used in situations where for instance technicians want to write observations or answer questions. The text input line type is also included in work order reports.
The 'Installation asset' line in the maintenance checklist helps you to automatically install a specific asset while processing the work order checklist. When adding this line to your checklist, you can choose whether the asset will be installed as a child or sibling of the current asset in the job.
In the example in the screenshot 01 below, you can see the checklist line Installation asset where the asset is installed as a child asset in the job.
Note:
The line type 'Measurement - Installation asset' is a line added in addition to the line 'Installation asset', where this is used to process the update of counter values on the related line 'Installation asset'.
The 'Measurement - Installation asset' checklist line can only exist after the line 'Installation asset', that is the line number for Installation asset will always be lower than the line number for the Measurement - Installation asset line.
In screenshot 01 below, you can see an example of Measurement - Installation asset maintenance checklist line associated with the asset installation.
Limitation:
While the Measurement - Installation asset lines display basically the same fields as measurement lines (counter type, min value, max value, unit etc.), currently they do not support using the following solutions with new checklist line type:
