Note that to introduce changes to a service contract that has been accepted by the customer and made active, you must first create a new revision and then edit or adjust the contents and then activate the new revision.
When the user creates a new revision, the service contract will be automatically placed in the Draft state, as defined in the lifecycle model's 'Revision draft state'.

- Go to Asset management > Service contracts > All service contracts.
- On the All service contracts page select the relevant service contract and from the top menu navigate to Service contract > Create new revision.

- The lifecycle state of the service contract will be updated to 'Revision draft state' (as defined in the lifecycle model).
Revising draft revision
The draft revision is a copy of the previous active revision, which you can now modify to meet the customer's requirements.
- Open the service contract draft and edit the draft revision as needed.
- Once all necessary changes have been made, update the draft revision’s lifecycle state to Active.
- When you activate the draft revision, the previous active version/ revision will automatically be moved to the 'Revision archived state' (as defined in the lifecycle model).
- The application will display a message confirming that the previous revision has been archived.
Note:
- For each service contract, you can have only one active revision and one draft revision at any given time.
- After activation, the previous revision will automatically be moved to archived state, as defined in the lifecycle model's 'Revision archived state'.
