Work Order Planning by Asset

You can plan your work orders based on a specific asset and all its children. You just need to open the Asset Planning Worksheet. If you have more than one template - you will need to choose. Templates can be created on the Work Order Wksh. Templates list.

General - template used on Work Order Planning Worksheet.

Main Asset - template used on Asset Planning Worksheet - all assets are placed below the top asset in the hierarchy.

Asset - template used on Asset Planning Worksheet - all assets are structured with a parent-children relation

To add records to the Asset Planning Worksheet you need to calculate plans.

To calculate work orders you need to specify the filter for asset, but you are filtering for the whole hierarchy - for example if you specify the top parent - all assets below in the hierarchy (or their plans) will be added to the list.

Planning By Asset

Planning By Main Asset

Here the whole planning process is the same as it is in the Work Order Planning Worksheet with small changes:

  • selecting Accept Action Message on the marked level applies the change to all assets below in the hierarchy !image-2024-06-27-12-04-57-084.png|width=795,height=94!
  • specifying the Package Code for the asset on the marked level applies the change to all assets below in the hierarchy
  • Main Asset No. stands for the asset number that is on the top of this hierarchy (might be not visible on the planning worksheet)
  • Calculate Plan always clean up the worksheet before it will put new records on it
  • some fields might not be editable - if the line represents the parent asset
  • Package No. can be added only to new work orders - it can not be added when the record is a rescheduled work order

The rest of the functionality is the same as it already is on the work order planning worksheet. The main purpose of this new worksheet is to have a possibility of planning by asset.
