Calendar Frequency Based on Fixed Scheduling

You can create Maintenance Calendars to define when work order plan must be executed. You just need to search for and open Maintenance Calendar. You can create here new calendars for specific plans.

For example - you can create a calendar for maintenance work that should be done on the beginning of each week.

Now you can specify manually dates, when the work order plan should trigger the work order. When there is a pattern - you can use Calendar Changes option.

Here you can specify what is the Reccurring System - Annual or Weekly.

In our case - when the maintenance work is expected on Mondays - we just had to specify one rule.

Thanks to that all Mondays on the calendar are selected as Maintenance.

If you are aware that any specific date should be changed (for example national holidays) - you can do it right now manually.

From the Maintenance Calendar Card you can also investigate:

  • where this calendar is used by selecting Where-Used List from the toolbar
  • if (this) calendar applied somewhere has some customized changes in Customized Changes Exist field

Once created Maintenance Calendar can be specified on the Asset Management Setup as a Default Maintenance Calendar.

When you are creating a work order plan with Calendar frequency - you can use new option - Fixed Schedule.

Here you have to specify the Maintenance Calendar. By selecting value in the Customized Calendar you can open specified calendar to inspect how exactly this calendar looks like, or you can modify this specific work order plan calendar - modified should show that customized calendar exists.

From now - work order plan will trigger work orders based on specified dates in the applied calendar.

What is important - if some occurrences are skipped (because created work order took longer than expected) new occurrence will be calculated as the next expected (based on the last done date of the work order plan).
