The app's security was improved by providing updated web server configuration helping against attacks including (but not limited to) Cross Site Scripting (XSS) and data injection attacks. These attacks are used for everything from data theft to site defacement or distribution of malware and the provided web.config file ensures that the application server is properly configured.
