Change Functional Location Parent

It's possible to change the parent of a functional location.

Setup

1. Go to System administration > Setup > License configuration.
2. From License Configuration, enable the configuration key Dynaway Data Manipulation Toolbox.
3. Enable the feature Dynaway - Functional location change parent in the 'Feature management' workspace.

Change functional location parent

1. Choose a functional location from All functional locations.
2. Select Maintain > Change parent.
3. In the dialog that opens, specify the new parent, as seen in screenshot 01.
4. Click OK to apply your changes.

After saving your changes, the following is validated:

• Allowed functional location sub-types.
• If the functional location lifecycle state allows new sub locations.
• Whether both sub locations and parent location are active or both are inactive.

All movement of functional locations are logged and can be viewed from Inquiries > Functional locations > Parent log.
