How to Set Up and Use Failure Codes

1. Go to the Failure - Reasons page in Business Central.
2. Define codes and descriptions for failure reasons. Failure reasons explain why a failure occurred (e.g., wear, operator error, material defect).
3. Go to the Failure - Problems: Define codes for types of problems encountered (e.g., leak, breakage, overheating).
4. Go to the Failure - Actions: Set up codes for corrective actions taken (e.g., replace, repair, adjust).
5. On work orders, select the appropriate problem, reason, and action codes when reporting a failure. This ensures each failure is fully described and the response is documented.
6. Save and review failure records for analysis and planning.
