Introduction
Round Order Quotes in Dynaway EAM for Business Central allow you to prepare, send, and manage quotes for recurring or scheduled maintenance rounds. This ensures clear communication, accurate pricing, and efficient approval processes for round-based maintenance work.
1. Access the Round Order Quotes List
- Open Business Central and use the search (Alt+Q).
- Type Round Order Quotes and select the page.
2. Create a New Round Order Quote
- Click New to start a new round quote.
- Select the customer who will be billed after the quote is approved.
- Fill in key details:
- Description
- Asset No. (for cost center allocation)
- Category Code
- Priority Code
3. Add Checklists and Instructions
- Attach relevant checklists to guide technicians and ensure all required tasks are quoted.
- Add instructions for the round, if needed.
4. Add Resources, Items, and Expenses
- Add lines for:
- Resources (labor)
- Items (materials)
- Expenses (additional costs)
- Enter quantities and prices for each line.
- Expenses are copied to Round Orders created from the plan.
5. Set Pricing Method
- Choose between Time and Material or Fixed Price for the quote.
- The selected pricing method will be used when creating the invoice.
6. Configure Addresses and Parameters
- Select the shipping and billing address:
- Sell-to Address
- Alternative Shipping Address
- Custom Address
- Add any additional parameters or asset parameters as needed.
7. Send for Approval
- Use the Send for Approval action to route the quote through your workflow.
- Approval workflows can be customized in the Maintenance Invoicing Setup.
8. Create Round Order from Quote
- Once approved, use the Create Round Order action to generate a round order from the quote.
- All details, checklists, and instructions are transferred to the new round order.
9. Archive Quotes
- Quotes can be archived manually or automatically, based on your setup.
- Archived quotes are available for review and audit.
