Introduction

Posted Work Orders provide a historical record of all completed and closed maintenance work in your organization. This feature enables users to review, analyze, and audit past maintenance activities, supporting compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement.

What Are Posted Work Orders?

A Posted Work Order is created when a work order is completed and posted in the system. Once posted, the work order becomes read-only and is stored in the Posted Work Orders list for future reference.

Posted Work Orders include all relevant information from the original work order, such as:

  • Work order number and description
  • Asset and location details
  • Maintenance tasks performed
  • Resources and items used
  • Time and cost tracking
  • Linked documents and checklists
  • Status and completion date

Accessing Posted Work Orders

  1. In Business Central, search for Posted Work Orders or navigate to the Dynaway EAM menu and select Posted Work Orders.
  2. The list displays all posted work orders, with options to filter and sort by date, asset, location, status, or other fields.
  3. Select a posted work order to view its details.

Reviewing Posted Work Order Details

On the Posted Work Order card, you can:

  • Review all maintenance actions performed
  • See which resources and items were used
  • View time and cost breakdowns
  • Access attached documents, checklists, and notes
  • Audit changes and completion status

Posted Work Orders are read-only, ensuring the integrity of historical maintenance data.


Reporting and Analysis

Posted Work Orders support:

  • Maintenance history analysis for assets and locations
  • Compliance and audit reporting
  • Cost and resource usage tracking
  • Identification of recurring issues or improvement opportunities

You can export data or use built-in reports to analyze posted work orders and support decision-making.
