Attach a Maintenance Request to a Work Order Plan, or create a One-off Work Order directly from a Maintenance Request if a Work Order is required to quickly solve the problem described in the Maintenance Request.
Open Maintenance Requests and released Work Order Plans exist. One-off Work Orders can be created.
You can attach a Maintenance Request to a Work Order Plan, which is created for the same Asset. This is useful if the job described in the Maintenance Request aligns with the contents of the Work Order Plan.
In the Maintenance Requests List, select and open the Maintenance Request Card.
On the Maintenance Request, a new line is added in the Related Work Orders section with a link to the Work Order Plan.
Refer to Test Case "Attach to Work Order Plan" below for a step-by-step procedure on how to attach a Maintenance Request to a Work Order Plan.
Select the magnifier in the corner.
Enter 'Maintenance Requests' in this window.
Select Maintenance Requests visible in Go to Pages and Tasks area.
Select a Maintenance Request from a list.
Select Attach to Work Order Plan in the ribbon.
Select the ellipsis button visible in the Work Order Plan No. field.
Select the Work Order Plan from the list.
Enter data in the Description field.
If it is needed - change the Work Order Date by selecting the icon of the calendar in this field and choosing the proper date from the calendar.
Select Yes.
Go back.
If this Maintenance Request has to be attached to the existing Work Order - select Yes.
If this downtime does not need to be attached to the existing Work Order - select No. (go to step 14)
Go back.
If the new frequency must be created - select Yes.
If the new frequency does not need to be created - select No.
The user can attach Maintenance Request to the existing Work Order Plan with three different results:
1. Maintenace Request is attached to the existing Work Order.
2. New frequency for Work Order Plan is created.
3. Maintenance Request is attached to the chosen Work Order Plan and the new Work Order is created.
You can create a one-off Work Order from a Maintenance Request. This is useful if the problem described in the Maintenance Request requires immediate attention.
In the Maintenance Requests List, select and open the Maintenance Request Card.
