Maintenance Tasks are similar to work orders but are dedicated only to Resources. These documents allow you to set up needed resources and post consumption for them. Assets, Items, and Expense lines cannot be added to Maintenance Tasks.
You can plan Maintenance Tasks to account for other types of activities for your resources during maintenance planning. For example, a maintenance team may not be available every first Monday of the month due to regular first-aid training.
Maintenance Tasks are fully supported by Advanced Planning functionality, just like Work Orders.
These articles cover the setup part of Maintenance Tasks.

You can: - Create individual codes for a priority and add a description. - Define the default value for the Latest Finish Date Calculation, which is automatically applied to the plan when the priority is chosen. - Set one priority as the default.
Maintenance Task Categories
From the Maintenance Task Categories list, you can create and set up categories. You can: - Create individual codes for a category and add a description. - Define the default priority code, which is automatically applied to the plan when the category is chosen. - Set one category as the default.
Overview
Maintenance Tasks are fully supported by Advanced Planning functionality in the same way Work Orders are. Maintenance Task Plans allow you to schedule and manage resource-based activities, such as team training or other non-asset related work.
Maintenance Tasks are ideal for conducting counter readings, as they do not involve assets.

- Go to Settings > Personalize and select the Counters field to view it on the page.
- Use the 'Reading Order' column if the order of readings is important (shown through personalization).

- When closing the task, any unregistered readings will be registered automatically. If not all readings are completed, you will be notified.
Posted Maintenance Task
- All reading information is transferred to the posted Maintenance Task. The counter area remains visible as long as a counter reading is registered.
