Introduction
A Work Order Plan in Dynaway EAM for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a template for creating Work Orders for a specific asset. Work Order Plans are used for both preventive and reactive maintenance, based on a predefined time frame (calendar), counter readings (e.g., running hours), or measurement values. Each plan is linked to a single asset and can only have one open Work Order at a time. You can copy a Work Order Plan to use it for other assets.
Examples:
- Weekly inspections (calendar-based)
- Maintenance after 5,000 running hours (counter-based)
Key Concepts
- Single Asset: Each Work Order Plan is linked to one asset.
- One Open Work Order: Only one open Work Order can exist per plan at a time for the non-iteration Work Order Plans.
- Multiple Work Orders: Multiple Work Orders can be created per plan according to the Iterations.
- Copying Plans: Plans can be copied to other assets for similar maintenance needs.
- Grouping: Multiple plans can be grouped for batch updates and synchronization.
