All contractors are vendors set up within the Accounts payable module of F&O. To set up or view existing contractors for Enterprise asset management:
- Go to Enterprise asset management > Common > Contractors > Contractors (see screenshot 01).
- On the Contractors page, from the top menu click New.
- A new line will be added for you to enter the details. Select the details to add:
- Vendor account: Select the vendor account from the drop-down. Note that the vendor account is auto-populated from the vendors set up in Purchase module of Microsoft 365.
- Name: This is auto-populated based on the vendor account selected.
- Vendor hold: This is auto-populated from the vendor account selected.
- Save the details by clicking on the Save button. This will create a new contractor entry.
- You can set up contacts persons for a contractor. Only active contact persons, set up on the vendor, can be selected. To add contact person details, scroll down to the Contractor contact persons FastTab and add a new contact by clicking on the New button.
- A new line will be added where you can select the contact person for the contractor. You can only add contacts that are already added in Accounts payable module for the vendor in Microsoft D365.
- Note:
- Making a contact person inactive will not affect existing work orders.
- The contact person information is populated based on the details entered for the specific vendor in the Accounts payable module in F&O for vendor contact. Only details added there will be available to be added as a contact person.
- Save the details.
Note:
- For easy setup, you can add all vendors from a selected vendor group.
- You can easily export and import contractors from and to the system by using the data entity 'Contractors' (DynContractorTableEntity).
