Introduction
Linear asset data (such as longitude and latitude) is stored in a Geographic Information System (GIS) that enables mapping, spatial analysis, and data management in a geodatabase.
The current setup for linear asset coordinates in Asset Management supports two platforms: ArcGIS and Google Maps.
ArcGIS Integration
You can set up a connection between Asset management and the ArcGIS server to integrate linear asset data (such as longitude and latitude) stored in ArcGIS, a Geographic Information System (GIS) used for mapping, spatial analysis, and geodatabase management.
Configure the ArcGIS Portal for Map Viewer Access
To get the link to the ArcGIS map viewer, you need to enter the ArcGIS portal details in Asset management:
- Go to Asset management > Asset management parameters, and from the left menu, select Linear assets.
- On the Set up linear assets screen (see screenshot 01):
- Go to the ArcGIS tab.
- In the ArcGIS portal URL field, enter the web address of an ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal for ArcGIS).
- In the ArcGIS WebMap ID field, enter the Item ID, which is found in the URL after
/home/item.html?id=....- Example: If the URL is
https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=1234567890abcdef, then the WebMap ID will be 1234567890abcdef.
- Example: If the URL is
