Batch Overview

View complete overview of your recurring batch processes.

Introduction

Batch overview provides an overview of batch jobs that are already configured, as well as batch jobs that are recommended based on your current enterprise asset management setup. The list of recommended batch jobs is dynamically generated to align with your system's configuration.

To enhance usability, the batch jobs are organized into modules, making it easier to view related processes and their context.

Prerequisites

Certain batch jobs are displayed only if the jobs are configured:

  • Schedule rounds: To view this job, ensure that maintenance rounds are set up.
  • Schedule work order alert check: To view this job ensure that work order alerts are configured.
  • Pending object count: To view this job, ensure that object items are set up.

View Batch Overview

To view the Maintenance batch overview screen:

  • Go to Enterprise asset management > Inquiries > Maintenance insights > Batch overview.
  • You will be directed to the Maintenance batch overview screen (see screenshot 01). On this screen you can:
    • View batch jobs set up.
    • View batch jobs that are not set up, but recommended.
    • Validate whether the expected batch jobs are configured with recurrence.
    • Review the recurrence unit and value for each batch job.
    • Open the related menu item to create a new recurring batch process.

Create New Batch Process from Overview

You can create a new batch process from the Maintenance batch overview screen by opening the task and creating a batch process. Batch jobs are grouped by modules, making it easier for you to view and understand their related context.

  • Go to Enterprise asset management > Inquiries > Maintenance insights > Batch overview.
  • On the Maintenance batch overview screen, from the list of tasks, select the task from the list of tasks and from the top menu select Open.
  • You will be directed to the dialog box of the selected task (see screenshot 01) where you can view the details of the task and define the batch process.

Note:

  • In Batch overview, you can see multiple batch processes for the same job - for example, when you’ve set up weekly scheduling for high-priority work orders and a monthly scheduling for all other active work orders.

Refresh of Data

When you open the Maintenance batch overview screen, data for batch jobs is calculated. If you click the standard refresh button on the top right-hand side, batch data is not recalculated.

If you want to recalculate batch data and refresh the data displayed, you must click on the Refresh button on the top left-hand side.
