Operator
Introduction
It is possible for users to use the mobile client as operators using a standalone Dynaway license called Dynaway Operator. Note that this requires the user to first have the license for the mobile client: Dynaway Mobile Platform.
Operator users can access Maintenance requests, Tasks, and Logbook in the mobile client.
License
When you set up a mobile user as an Operator, the system notifies you if there are five or fewer licenses available, allowing you to monitor your license usage. If the maximum number of operators permitted has been reached, an error message is displayed, preventing additional user setup.
User Access and Permissions
Application access
To set up a mobile user as an operator and enable the user with access to Work execution app, proceed with the below steps:
- Go to Dynaway mobile > Setup > Users.
- In the Users page (see screenshot 01):
- Ensure that for the user the value for Enabled is checked.
- Ensure that for the user the value for Operator is checked.
- Note:
- Each mobile user can only be configured as one mobile user type. For example, a user configured as an operator cannot also be configured as a maintenance contractor, maintenance worker, or maintenance requester.
User permissions
Permissions for an operator in the mobile client are defined in the module configuration page:
- Go to Dynaway mobile > Setup > Module configuration (see screenshot 02).
- Within this page, configurations under the Operator scope determine the available permissions.
Note:
- To ensure proper permissions, most configurations are system-controlled and cannot be changed by the user.
- Some settings can be adjusted as needed. These have the Editable checkbox selected.
- If a mobile user is configured as an operator, the setup defined under the Operator scope takes precedence over other scopes, such as User, User group, All, or Default.
- By default, operators are allowed to work with Maintenance requests, Tasks and Logbook. Based on requirements, these module configurations can be adjusted to disable specific functionality.
