Introduction
Work permits and LOTOs are attached to work orders to ensure a safe work environment before starting work on a work order. Read the article below to see how to view permits and LOTOs on work orders in the mobile client.
On the Work Order details page, you can get an overview of all permits and LOTOs assigned to the work order.
To set up the permits to be visible:
- Go to Dynaway mobile > Setup > Module configuration > Work execution > Work orders > Safe work > Permits.
- To enable the user or user group to view overview of permits and LOTOs, enable the configuration corresponding to Permits (set the parameter value to 'true').
- You will notice a new tab called Safe work on the Work order details page with a count of permits (represented by the letter "P" followed by the count in brackets) and LOTOs (represented by the letter "L" followed by the count in brackets) assigned to the work order.
On the Work Order details page, you can get an overview of all permits and LOTOs assigned to the work order under expandable tabs called Permits and Lockout tagout.
- To view an overview of permits, click on the expandable arrow corresponding to Permits.
- You can view an overview of the permits related to the work order.
- Clicking the card will navigate you safe work application and display the selected permit (This is applicable if you are authorized to access the Safe work application in the module configurations Dynaway mobile > Setup > Module configuration > Safe work > Enabled, and Dynaway mobile > Setup > Module configuration > Application locations > Safe work mobile application).
- To view an overview of LOTOs, click on the expandable arrow corresponding to Lockout tagout.
- You can view an overview of LOTOs related to the work order.
- Clicking the card will navigate you safe work application and display the selected LOTO (this is applicable if you are authorized to access the Safe work application in the module configurations Dynaway mobile > Setup > Module configuration > Safe work > Enabled, and Dynaway mobile > Setup > Module configuration > Application locations > Safe work mobile application).
To ensure that work orders with unapproved permits can't be executed, you can set up users to only be able to change the lifecycle state if a permit is approved or valid within the from/to range.
- Go to Dynaway mobile > Module configuration > Work execution > Work orders > Safe work.
- To enable the user or user group to check for invalid permits, enable the configuration corresponding to Check for invalid permits when starting work order (set the parameter value to 'true').
- Go to the lifecycle state you are using to define the work order progess. In the General tab, for the Set actual start field, set the toggle button to Yes (see screenshot 01).
- Permits of work orders changed to this lifecycle state will now be checked for validation.
