Skill and Certificate Validation

Set up required skills and certificates on functional locations

Introduction

Specify skills and certificates for functional locations to efficiently plan maintenance work using only workers with required qualifications. This functionality ensures safety and enhances operational effectivity across your organization.

Set up Required Skills and Certificates

You can specify required skills and certificates that are necessary when working on particular functional locations.

This setup is taken into account during validation and behaves the same way as validation for skills and certificates on job type and job trade. Only workers possessing the required skills and certificates are eligible to be assigned to work orders originating from the specified functional location.

This validation occurs during work order dispatching, scheduling, and planning board scheduling, providing a comprehensive check on worker qualifications. Note that during planning board scheduling, any non-compliance triggers a warning. When trying to schedule a work order for a worker who doesn't have the required skills or certificates, an error message is shown (refer to the example in the screenshot below).

In instances where skills and certificates are also required for sublocations, the validation can extend to work orders associated with those sublocations.

On a functional location, you can set up the required skills and certificates in the 'Required skills' and 'Required certificates' tabs. In the 'General' tab, you can specify if skills and certificates should also be valid for child locations of the functional location. Refer to the screenshots below.
