Creating work order service
To start using the functionality, go to: Asset management > Periodic > Maintenance requests > Create work orders.
Once opened, the standard batch job dialog is open where you can configure if you want to run this operation as a batch job and the query for limiting the maintenance requests.
When the operation has started, it creates one work order per selected maintenance request record. However, for a work order to be created, the following basic conditions must be met:
- Valid value must be provided in the 'Default work order type' field provided that the related 'Maintenance request type' record has no 'Work order type' set.
- The field can be found in Asset management > Setup > Asset management parameters > Work orders.
- When a work order is created, the 'Work order type' value is set first from 'Work order type' (Maintenance request type) > 'Default work order type' (Asset management parameters).
- A maintenance request can't have a work order created from it already.
- A maintenance request must have an asset that is active.
- A maintenance request must have a value set in the 'Maintenance job type' field.
- A maintenance request must have a maintenance schedule.
- The maintenance request's current lifecycle state must have 'Create work order' switched on.
