Maintenance Request Attributes

Set up default attribute types for maintenance requests types

Introduction

Using maintenance request attributes, you can add default attribute types to maintenance requests and work orders.

Maintenance Request Attributes

In standard Asset Management, attributes can been added for assets and functional locations. Advanced Asset Management adds attributes for maintenance requests and work orders.

To set up attributes, refer to Maintenance attribute types.

From a maintenance request you can view and edit attributes.

Set up and use attributes on maintenance request types

You can set up default attribute types on maintenance request types, which ensures that your maintenance requests have the selected attributes.

Go to Asset management > Setup > Maintenance requests > Maintenance request types to set up default attribute types for maintenance requests types. See screenshot 01 below for an example.

Note:

  • Attribute types which are set up on the maintenance request type can't be deleted from a maintenance request of that type.
  • If you add attribute types to a maintenance request type, all maintenance requests of that type will be updated. Removing an attribute from a maintenance request type enables you to delete the attribute from maintenance requests.
  • Attribute types from maintenance requests are copied to work orders during creation.

In Asset management > Inquiries > Maintenance requests > Maintenance request attributes you can additionally review the attributes of all maintenance requests. See screenshot 02 below for an example.
