Connect your data to get started

Introduction

Dynaway EAM Analytics for Business Central PowerBI report enables you to enhance data-driven decision making in maintenance and asset management. Access comprehensive reporting and detailed analytics on assets, defects, downtimes, work orders and costs, utilizing data from Dynaway EAM for Business Central.

There are only a few steps you need to complete to get started using Dynaway EAM Analytics. After instalment, you can check out the sample data to get familiar with each report. When you're ready to use your own data, you can do so easily in a few steps.

Get familiar

After downloading and installing the app Dynaway EAM Analytics for Business Central in Microsoft AppSource, you can check out the sample data and get familiar with the report's possibilities by using the menu to the left to access various data insights (as seen in screenshot 01 below).

Connect your own data

When you're ready to use the report with your own data, select Connect your data, which is shown in screenshot 02, and provide the information in the dialog.

In the dialog seen in screenshot 03, fill in the following parameters:

  1. Set Business Central Envionment - Enter the name of your Business Central Environment.
  2. Set Business Central Company - Enter the name of your Business Central Company.
  3. Set Time Zone - Select your time zone.
  4. Click Next.
  5. You're now asked to sign in to connect your data.
  6. After signing in, your data will be updated in the tables.
  7. Your data is now connected and shown in the tables. Read more here about what insights you can view for Assets and Work Orders.
